Flaggship Center's purpose of self-sufficiency will be fulfilled through
the business relationships with its "partners".
One of the goals of Flaggship Center is to
attract the participation of for-profit companies who will provide the business
and economic support for Flaggship Center.
This partnering relationship is anticipated to be long-term and to offer many
mutual economic benefits.
ADVANTAGES TO THE FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS PARTICIPANT
- A physical space will be laid out and arranged to meet
the needs of the business.
- A nominal space rental arrangement with highly flexible terms to
benefit the business's needs.
- A highly motivated work force willing to assume entry level
positions and to cooperate with the reasonable needs of the business.
Personnel problems will be handled by the Center's conflict expert(s),
thus reducing overhead and expense associated with management and
supervision of the workforce.
- A contractual relationship for the workforce between the Business
Management agency of the Center and the Business Partner.
- A safe and secure working environment.
A Business Partner is defined as a business operator who utilizes the
client population as a workforce to produce products for which the
company has a ready market. In addition to paying fees to
Flaggship Center for labor services, a
Business Partner may -
- Provide its own equipment and other assets necessary for the
production and sale of its own products.
- Provide supervision and management of the work force
- Pay rent to Flaggship Center
