"To truly address the needs of these families [individuals], shelters must provide a variety of services and programs that enable families to build sound, independent living skills, complete their education, and obtain job training before moving to permanent housing."

Sketch of Proposed Flaggship Center

To move from a system that fosters dependency and stagnation to one that encourages and nurtures self-sufficiency and personal growth, we need a bold and innovative solution.
Flaggship Center is such a solution.

Flaggship Center will serve those people who have demonstrated a strong desire to re-enter the mainstream and regain their footing as active, productive members of the community.

Flaggship Center will be a self-supporting, campus-like environment that provides work/job training, life skills development, and housing for up to 100 men and women, for a period of up to two years.

Flaggship Center will serve as a model of self-sufficiency for its clients. Profit-oriented ventures will be developed to fund all client-centered operations. Potential business "partners" are being sought to participate in these ventures.

Flaggship Center and its Business Partners will have relationships that will result in many unique advantages to the business operator. For example, Partners will have access to a disciplined, dedicated work force at less than market rates and have no employer-employee issues. For more information about partnering opportunities or to receive periodic updates on this project, send email, or CALL 510-582-1172 or FAX 510-582-1171.

Everyone participating in Flaggship Center, in every manner, will be a part of realizing an ambitious, but significant VISION of the future --
